Xbox 720 Release Date, Specs and Price. Hot Gadget Rumor 2012

Most people of game player wonder, especially Xboxers, about what the next hot gadgets that they can enjoy to kill their time in 2012. The rumors of the next generation gadgets that they have been waiting for is Xbox 720. Rumors are suggesting that Microsoft will reveal the next-generation Xbox at E3 2012, some people are suggesting that this will be called the Xbox 720, however this is unconfirmed, today we will look possible technical specifications and a price point for the console.
When questions were asked about the much propagandized and rumored Xbox 720, plus was also asked whether they would be dropping the great Xbox 360 gaming console which has won the hearts of many video game players in the world, the head of Microsoft’s Interactive Entertainment Business division, Peter Moore, replied they will supporting the Xbox 360 as long as it is sold. He also added that the team is presently working on the new gaming console named Xbox 720 and also what kind of CPU the gaming console will be supporting. If the gaming console Xbox 720 is released, the life span of the existing Xbox 360 will be nearly six to seven years in the market.

The Xbox 720 is the next generation of the hot gadgetsXbox 360 and also is considered to be very powerful than the existing of the previous one. It is also believed that AMD is having hands on the computer processor and the graphics of the console.  It is also claimed that the console will be based on a modded Windows 9 Corethat uses a Zune HD-like hardware platform.
The Xbox 720 is also reported to be designed by Microsoft and three other partners AMD, Imagination Technologies & Samsung and is based on ARM architecture.
Some sources predict the console will retail for somewhere between $400 – $500, if this is the case don’t be too surprised if there is a more expensive model available it can be reach higher up to $700.
The experts of this gadgets has made prediction about some specifications, in terms of internal storage if standard 2.5-inch hard drives are used a minimum of 250GB to be available, but when it is compared to SATA hard drive, the prices wouldn’t be a lot more to give it a 320GB or 500GB HDD instead, the master of it console don’t think that 1TB of storage will be necessary as 500GB should allow you to store plenty of games, DLC and demos. There is also a chance that Microsoft may choose to give the 360 a solid-state drive, these use less power, run cooler and are quieter and faster than standard HDDs.
The rumors predict that it will feature integrated WiFi b/g/n, this will ensure that it will be able to connect to existing wireless access points and even lots of the latest and greatest wireless routers. And of course, all the game players expect there will be an Ethernet port, to be honest 100Mb/s is sufficient.
The Xbox 720 hopefully have optical drive reader more than the Xbox 360′s optical drive reads dual-layer DVDs which hold roughly 8GB of data. The PS3′s Blu-ray drive supports single-layer discs which hold roughly 25GB of data and also dual-layer discs which hold roughly 50GB of data. We wonder if this time round Microsoft will bite the bullet and give the next-gen Xbox a Blu-ray drive, either that or a new format altogether.
The 360′s 3.2 GHz PowerPC Tri-Core Xenon processor and 512MB RAM ensured that it would have longevity, the new Xbox will undoubtedly wipe the floor with this, however Microsoft have to take into account price limitations. People would like to see at least 4 cores with clock speeds of 3.5GHz per core, however we think that Microsoft could surprise us with a 6 or 8 core chip. As for graphics processor the 360 featured a 500 MHz ATI Xenos GPU which was quite similar to theATI Radeon X1900 / X1950 graphics cards, the expert of this gadgets think that Microsoft will stick with ATI (who were acquired by AMD back in 2006), perhaps Microsoft will choose something similar to to the 67xx / 68xx series, however something like this is extremely hard to predict.

The following some statements about the hot gadgets of Xbox 720:

Xbox 720's Controller
All the Xboxers hop that Kinect will be the part of this console. Microsoft's  from the Kinect announcements at E3 2011, Microsoft is beginning to look at ways of integrating Kinect into more 'hardcore' games, so it is likely to play a significant part in any next generation Xbox console.

Blu-rayStephen McGill, they willl not be going the way of Blu-ray believing that digital media is the way forward. In an interview with CVg last year, McGill said:
"We have no plans to adopt [a] Blu-ray drive for the Xbox 360. In fact, the future of home entertainment started last autumn when Xbox 360 became the first and only console to offer instant-on 1080p streaming HD movies."

Gaming in the cloud
Cloud gaming service OnLive could be a possible solution. OnLive VP of Engineering Joe Bentley recently spoke to CVG and when asked if he could see its service working with Microsoft and Sony, responded:
"Absolutely, they would make great consoles. Our controller is a hybrid between a PS3 controller and an Xbox controller. It's all compatible, it would just work. There are OnLive guys chatting [Sony and MS], but we'll see where it goes. But it would absolutely work, we're ready to work with everybody."

To be announced at E3 2012?
First talk of an E3 2012 unveiling surfaced when Crysis 2 devs Crytek were reported to have claimed that the new console was E3 2012-bound, and that the company was working on a new Timesplitters title for the new Xbox 720.
Crytek have since refuted the claims, but BGR now say that they have it on good authority from a source “with knowledge of Microsoft’s plans within the company’s Entertainment and Devices Division” that the Xbox 720 will be announced at E3 2012.
The Elusive Xbox 720 Release Date is impossible to say with any positivity exactly when we can expect to see this all new Xbox appearing on the shelves of our favorite gaming stores across the country, Microsoft has yet to make any announcement. The eyes of gamers across the globe will undoubtedly be focusing on E3 2012 (Early June 2012) as the possible medium for an announcement from the boys at Microsoft.

Would you be patient waiting for the birth of Xbox720? Be ready to gadget your life.

Blackberry PlayBook OS 2.0 Rumors

Most of people are anxiously waiting for the launch of X Hot Gadgets from RIM. Yeah, what we are waiting is Blackberry PlayBook OS 2.0 in February. It looks like RIM is already hard at work on a newest and hottest version of their tablet. The rumor of BlackBerry PlayBook will be supported by some upgraded hardware OS 2.0. BlackBerry has debuted the update to its tablet operating system at CES, the PlayBook OS 2.0, which brings quite a few new features with it.
The new OS 2.0 finally brings native email and calendar clients to Research In Motion’s tablet – something that was sorely missed. Along with the ability to multi-task in emails, the unified inbox allows users to manage multiple email accounts as well as social networking sites like Twitter, LinkedIn and others.
The BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 is also equipped with  hot feature that PlayBook OS 2.0 brings is BlackBerry Bridge, which allows a BlackBerry smartphone's user to act as a keyboard and mouse for the PlayBook. So you can now type on that comfortable, super-fast QWERTY keyboard without needing to resort to the touchscreen virtual one.

To get complete information of  Blackberry Playbook OS 2.0 X Hot Gadgets try to acquired the info from some reliable source. Here are some features review of BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 as in PCW's report.

RIM Previews BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 at CES
From the most famous gadgets world exhibition, CES Las Vegas, President and Co-CEO at Research In Motion said that “BlackBerry PlayBook is already recognized for delivering powerful performance, true multi-tasking, advanced web browsing and HD multimedia in an ultra-portable design,” Mike Lazaridis reiterated that “With BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 we are building on this strong foundation, as well as leveraging our strengths in communications, social integration and productivity, to allow people to use their BlackBerry PlayBook in new ways throughout the day.”
CES 2012 attendees who visit the BlackBerry booth at CES (South Hall 3 Booth # 30326) will get a sneak peek of upcoming BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 functionality including:

Advanced Messaging Experience
  • New unified inbox – a powerful unified inbox within the built-in messaging app allows users to quickly manage their personal email and work email accounts as well as the messaging capabilities of popular social networking sites like Twitter®, LinkedIn® and others – all in one place.
  • Multi-tasking within email – by extending the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet’s multitasking capabilities to ‘tabbed email’, users are able to reference one email while they compose another.
  • Rich-text email composing and editing – new features within the Messages app enable users to benefit from full support of fonts, formatting and editing of email threads, offering a robust email experience similar to that of a PC or laptop.
  • Inbox management tools – allows for powerful inbox search across multiple email accounts, as well as the ability to set out-of-office messages and email signatures directly from their tablet.

Deep Integration of Social Relationships
  • Innovative people-centric calendar – in addition to standard calendar features that help users plan and organize their day, the powerful built-in Calendar app provides the unique ability for users to view their calendar by who they are meeting with that day and review valuable information about that contact. Information is consolidated automatically from social networking sites about that contact and/or their company.
  • Relationship-centric contacts app – more than just an address book, the new built-in Contacts app serves as a social hub – merging and consolidating information from multiple sources (including email and social channels) into one contact file for each person in their address book.  Each contact file includes information such as recent status updates, conversations, related news articles and mutual contacts that are kept up-to-date automatically.

Making Your BlackBerry Smartphone and Tablet a Powerful Pair
  • Remote control for the BlackBerry PlayBook – new BlackBerry® Bridge™ features allow a user’s BlackBerry® smartphone to act as a keyboard and mouse for their BlackBerry PlayBook – effectively providing a wireless remote control for their tablet. Perfect for pausing a movie when a BlackBerry PlayBook is plugged in to a TV with an HDMI connection, or for using the tactile QWERTY keyboard on a BlackBerry smartphone to compose a message or document on the BlackBerry PlayBook.
  • Opening content on the BlackBerry PlayBook – BlackBerry Bridge allows you to take documents, emails, multimedia files and web pages found on your smartphone and open them quickly and directly on the BlackBerry PlayBook so you can use the larger high resolution display for an optimized viewing and editing experience.

Improved Mobile Productivity
  • Updated document editing capabilities – updated Documents To Go® functionality makes it easier for users to create and edit documents while on the go. Improvements include: enhanced support for the virtual keyboard, the ability to view and update embedded charts and chart sheets within spreadsheets, a new formula wizard with over 100 functions as well as the ability to edit presentations including text, bullets and formatting.
  • Print To Go application – this app allows users to wirelessly “print” from their laptop or PC directly to their BlackBerry PlayBook over Wi-Fi®. A digital printout is created on the BlackBerry PlayBook so that users can view, sort and manage their digital printouts as though they were physical sheets of paper. The Print To Go app is the perfect way to consolidate info from various related sources like a hotel web confirmation, an airline boarding pass email, the show event schedule or even a map of the destination city and make them available for quick access on the go.
  • Increased control and manageability of corporate data – the combination of BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 with BlackBerry Mobile Fusion and BlackBerry Balance will help to overcome many barriers to widespread tablet deployment, including device manageability and the ability to secure, manage and control confidential corporate information on the device. Plus BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 supports dedicated shelf space inside the BlackBerry® App World™ storefront to allow IT departments to control distribution of enterprise applications and to make those approved enterprise applications easily available to the organization’s end users.

New Apps and Content
  • Your favorite apps plus thousands more – many exciting new applications built for the BlackBerry PlayBook will be made available on BlackBerry App World with the availability of BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0. From gaming and lifestyle to business and productivity, RIM is showcasing some of the latest apps available for the BlackBerry PlayBook at CES 2012 including Angry Birds, Cut the Rope, Groupon, Thomson Reuters, Zinio and many more.
  • Video store – a catalog of thousands of movies and TV shows will be available through the integrated BlackBerry Video Storefront* with new releases to be made available for purchase or rent the same day they come out on DVD. Users will be able to begin watching media as soon as they start to download the file, so users won’t have to wait for the entire file to transfer before they can enjoy great entertainment on the tablet’s high resolution display, or on an HDTV via the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet’s HDMI output.
  • Enhanced web browsing – the BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 browser also includes a new reading view, which is designed to make web sites even easier to enjoy by eliminating page clutter at the touch of a button. What’s left is a cleaner format that is great for reading online news articles, blog posts, or websites that contain heavy amounts of text.

Availability
RIM will prepare software update as free download for all BlackBerry® PlayBook users and it is expected to be available in February 2012. (src: PCW)

Lenovo LT1421 Wide Mobile Monitor

Lenovo launched a mobile monitor, called Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421. It is a mobile monitor that can be connected to notebook through USB cable. It is equipped with 14-inch panel having a resolution of 1,366-by-768 pixels. It has brightness adjustment button for 16 level brightness and Photo frame tilt stand adjustments for comfort viewing.
Lenovo Think Vision LT1421's monitor offers a rated 400:1 contrast ratio, and up to 200 nits of brightness. It means that even at the highest setting, it's not the brightest thing in the world; unless you're in a dim or dark room, chances are good you'll want to turn the LT1421 up to its maximum level.

Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421 Features
  • Slim and Light weight
  • 14-inch display
  • Brightness adjustment button
  • Photo frame tilt stand
  • USB 2.0 connection
  • Kensington lock slot
  • Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421 Specifications
  • Display Size: 14 inch
  • Resolution: 1366 x 768
  • Contrast Ratio: 400:1
  • Brightness: 200 cd/m2
  • Response Time: 8 ms
  • Viewing angle: Horizontal: 90 degrees, Vertical: 50 degrees
  • Digital Audio Out:
  • USB 2.0: Yes
  • Kensington Lock slot: Yes

As Notebook Review (www.notebookreview.com) said that the monitor works best when display static content - toolbars, text-heavy websites, emails and other long form content such as writing or reading. It falls down a bit when it comes to moving content, though. You'll notice some tearing when rapidly moving your cursor around, and when scrolling through websites you'll see the screen flash and jump. Likewise, some video works great with the monitor - lower resolution YouTube videos are fine, as long as you don't fullscreen the embeds.

Notebook Review give information that Lenovo LT1421 Wide Mobile Monitor is currently sellingat a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $199.99.
For road warriors who find that their notebook just isn't enough, the Lenovo LT1421 Wide Mobile Monitor is available option that could help them do more in less time. For everyone else, however, it's probably worth waiting for the USB 3.0 models.

Rumors: OLED Technology For TV

What is an OLED TV?
An OLED TV screen is a TV which uses a new display high technology called OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diodes). OLED technology presents a brighter screen, more efficient, thinner and feature better refresh rates and contrast than either LCD or Plasma.

OLED Technology
OLEDs are perfectly designed by placing thin films of organic (carbon based) materials between two conductors. When electrical current is applied, a bright light is emitted. The OLED materials emit light and do not require a backlight (unlike LCDs). Each pixel is a small light-emitting diode, in fact. OLED TV panels offers several advantages over LCDs:
  • Faster refresh rate, better contrast and better color reproduction
  • Thickness: the LG's EL9500 for example is just 1.7mm thick. We've seen prototypes of OLED televisions that are merely 0.3mm thick!
  • Better viewing angle - almost 180 degrees
  • Greener: OLEDs draw less power, and contain no bad metals
  • OLED panels can potentially be made flexible and/or transparent.

LG's 55" OLED TV
LG officially announced their first real OLED TV, the 55" 55EM9600, in December 2011. This is a Full-HD panel that features 100,000,000:1 contrast ratio and fast response time (1,000 times faster than LCD according to LG). The panel is only 4mm thick, and the whole TV weighs just 7.5Kg.
The TV is based on LG Display's Oxide-TFT white-OLED with color filters (RGBW, more on this below) OLED panel. We do not know the release date or price yet (although DisplaySearch estimates that it will cost $8,000 and be released in 3Q 2012). The 55EM9600 will be officially unveiled at CES 2012 and is expected to ship by July 2012.

Sony 11" XEL-1 OLED TV
Sony was the pioneer of OLED TV by launching Sony's XEL-1 back in December 2007. The XEL-1 was actually more of a technology prototype than a commercial set - it's a small TV (11"). This TV was expensive (around 2,500$) and was only produced in small quantities. It has great picture quality, colors and contrast.

 LG 15" EL9500
LG's first OLED TV was actually the 15" EL9500 15". Like Sony's XEL-1, this was more of a technology demonstration, as the price was very high for a 15" display (around $2600 in Korea and €1,999 in Europe). The EL9500 features 1366 x 768 resolution,a  contrast ratio of 100,000:1 and it's only 1.7mm thick.

True-OLED vs WOLED-CF
The basic OLED TV design (called a "True-OLED" TV) uses 3 color OLED sub-pixels (Red, Green and Blue) to create each 'pixel'. But some companies are using a different archicture, called WOLED-CF which uses four white OLED subpixels with color filters on top (RBG and W). This is also called a RGBW design.

OLED TV prototype
Kodak developed the WOLED-CF technology and it should make the OLED panel easier to make. However it will also be less efficient. LG Display's OLED TVs which will be released in 2012 will be based on this design.

OLED TV in 2012
These TVs are amazing, but the price will be high as high as their technology. They will only be produced in small quantities (tens of thousands of units per month).
Hopefully the market reaction to these new premium TVs will be good, and both Samsung and LG will start to mass produce these TVs - which will bring the cost down dramatically. This is expected to happen during 2013-2014. Other companies (such as Toshiba, Panasonic and Sony) are expected to start producing OLED TVs too in the coming years.
LG has officially announced a 55" OLED TV and it is expected to launch at around July 2012. Sony is currently focused on professional OLED monitors (such as the $30,000 25" BVM-E250), and has no plans to start producing consumer TVs.
Officially, Panasonic does not have plans yet, but it is reportedly building a pilot 8.5-Gen OLED plant for R&D purposes.
AU Optronics have also shown some OLED TV prototypes, the latest being a 32" Oxide-TFT panel.
While DuPont don’t want  to be left in this competition, they announced that a leading OLED maker has licensed their nozzle-printing technology in an effort to make cheaper, printable OLED TV panels.
